It is a brilliantly illustrated graphic novel aimed at spreading good habits and practices to children. It can be used as a fun novel to read to your kids. But, it wont be able to convey the message properly if given to the kids directly since the language is not so simple. But the kid will love looking at it because it is very brightly coloured and kid friendly.

This is a wonderful book! It highlights some of the physical things that cause some children to be made fun of. As parents, we have all known some children with some of these problems and some of us have raised children who were subject to the taunts of others. Bullying and taunting are not acceptable, and all children need to know that they can grow up to be happier than they were.
A much needed story beautifully rendered and shared with family and others.
The illustrations by Mel Schroeder are fun, clear, colorful, and delightful.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to anyone, but especially to a school or your public library!
I requested and received a free temporary e-book on Adobe Acrobat Reader from Black Rose Writing via NetGalley. Thank you!

I got this as an ebook for LibraryThing Early Reviewers.

This book introduces children to what skills are and how you get them. And that it might take some time and trying to get there.
It's a nice way to explain that not everything you do works the first time you do it.

I got this as an ebook for LibraryThing Early Reviewers.

This book introduces children to values and does so in an interesting way, by also giving examples.
It helps them find out what their own values might be.

This book was an excellent read! Did I say it's also an easy read? It has an abundance of practical tools and resources that could be used to help increase your management skills. Who wouldn't want tools and resources to begin utilizing immediately?

Being able to understand and manage your team is essential. Self-reflection is very important. If you are experiencing a high turnover rate, I would definitely recommend this book to help reflect on your leadership position. An abundance of people quit a job because of leadership. If you are wondering how to "up" your leadership skills, you need to grab a copy of this book.

I’m a big fan of Kristin Sherry’s books, and frequently recommend them to my clients. I pre-ordered Maximize 365 expecting a book of equal quality, but this may well be her best. It goes far beyond traditional business topics and addresses a much broader range of topics. The practical application of concepts has always set Kristin Sherry apart from other business authors, and she uses the same approach with Maximize 365.
The book is divided into 5 parts: health, spirituality, relationships, career, and finances. Each topic (e.g., stress management, burnout, sleep) is just one page, and includes an explanation of a unique challenge and ideas for action. The advice is “bite-sized” and you don’t need to read it in a linear way. You just invest a few minutes in reading the part of the book that is relevant to your life now. Terrific book!

This is an excellent, easy to understand career book but more importantly, it's comprehensive! Rather than buy separate books to determine your Holland types, interpret StrengthsFinders, identify your motivated skills, and articulate your personal values, you can do everything in one book and see how they all weave together to create your unique contribution.
It's an excellent resource for entry-level and mid-career changes, as well as for those who are considering a more entrepreneurial route. Understanding what can bring you career satisfaction can save you years of boredom and frustration that stems from being in the wrong role! I only wish I'd read it at the beginning of my career.

This book is so good!
I don’t usually rejoice over business books but I love this. Most books I read are theoretical. That’s great for philosophy but it’s the last thing I want in a business book
I want to be able to open it, read for a couple minutes, and get something I can use. I love this book because it allows me to do that.
The advice is a mixture of tested wisdom and original thinking. Really a must-read for any current or future leader

My 8-year old son enjoyed this story. Before we started he told me “I don’t have any skills!” But as we read and after we finished, he was able to tell me about all the skills he already has, and ones he’d like to develop. It spurred a good conversation - plus the artwork is attractive. Appreciated.

My 8-year old son enjoyed this story. The concept of ‘values’ can be hard to explain to young kids, but this book approached the topic in a very accessible way. We had a good discussion afterwards about what his values are. Appreciated this read.

I found this book to be heavy handed in a "moral of the story" sense, but relatable to anyone who is a younger sibling.

My 7 and 9-year-old enjoyed reading this book. The illustrations were very vibrant. We loved how we were able to use this book to reflect on our values. We also used the Values Glossary to discuss our values.

*This review is an unbiased review of a book I received free of charge from LibraryThing Early Reviewers.* This a a teaching book that is not too preachy. It is directed at young siblings who want to do everything their older siblings do and right now! The little girl in this book is lucky enough to have a fairy friend who teaches her that skills take time and practice to learn, some much more than others. The fairy very importantly shows Evelyn that she has skills of her own! As Evelyn is shown things that she can do and things that she might like to learn to do, she begins to understand that not everything can be down immediately. Skills take time. This fairy not only teaches, but giggles and jumps on the bed with Evelyn. I cute book with a nice message and interesting artwork.

A well illustrated heavy handed book that can be used to talk to children about values. It starts as a story but quickly morphs into an illustrated dictionary. While helpful if you need kid friendly definitions to start the discussion of different values to children, it is the child's equivalent of a classroom lecture. The list of values range from the obvious (found in all children's books, such as fairness or honesty) to dubious (fun as a value?.) Children do need things explained to them, but this book does not give them enough credit.

What a cute book for those youngest siblings that want to do what their older siblings are doing. it's a quick upbeat read that will help a child reflect on what he/she can do. There is also suggestions at the back of the book for parents and teachers on how to extend the message which is good for any pre-schooled age child.

Learning about skills and tools is hard at first, but this story tells you that it's okay that some things you aren't good at will take practice. The art style was also pretty cool!½

The art style was pretty cool, also learning about values is an important thing in life to learn, even if they don't seem important at the time.
