This was well-done and I would have rated it higher if it hadn't been for one thing: some of the male characters looked way too similar to each other. I had to keep reminding myself that Gatsby had wavy hair, Tom had a buzzcut, etc. Still, the Jazz Age feel was definitely there, which impressed me for a graphic novel!

The artwork in this retelling is simply stunning. A great way to approach classic literature that may be intimidating to readers. Highly recommended.

I'm not a fan of the original novel, but I thought I'd give this a go since it turned up at the local library. I shouldn't have bothered. Even in graphic novel format this book is filled with one of the most unlikable cast of characters I've come across. What a bunch of losers.

Art, color palette, fonts -- none of them were particularly appealing either, though that could just be my mind souring on them due to their relation to this story.

If you love this crushingly sad story, you'll truly appreciate the beauty of the flapper-era illustrations and the fine choices made in the text adaptation. The graphic novel brings the tragedy to life more than the movie(s). The words are stunning, and if you were forced to read this classic in high school and hated it, try try again.
