Very good character development in a short amount of time. I was quickly hooked and liking these characters very much. I find the hero mysterious and sexy and the heroine sweet, naive, and mouthy. I am diving in to the rest of this story because I have to...

Their first meeting had the hero fantasizing about what he would love to do to her and he had a few moments of jealousy that left him confused. Because he doesn't do jealousy...these two together are going to burn up the 'pages'!

She is a total innocent and he is gonna be her teacher...what is not to love about that?
I am so happy that I decided to read this and I can't wait for the rest!

Oh my God! ....Just his voice has her melting and more than willing to do anything he asks...and he asks a lot!

Elijah is confused and torn by his desire for Abigail. He needs her on an elemental level that has never happened to him before and he is not sure that he likes it... but he is helpless to stop it.

Abigail knows that getting involved with her boss is wrong on every level. She has no will to resist his intense pull and no experience to understand what is happening to her. She can deny him nothing.

This part picks right back up where part 1 left off. It's getting very mysterious... why did Abigail's mother kill a man? Who sent the package and why?

Why is Elijah so worried about his father coming out of a coma...what happened the night his father almost died? What has happened in his life to damage him to this point?

I cannot wait to have these questions answered.

The sexual tension is off the charts and the sex is hot! On to part three!

I really dislike cliffhangers....I don't like serials like this yet I find that I am totally hooked and want to find out what happens next.

And I am not liking this story at all! That said...yeah...it's 5 stars...cause it checks all the boxes...for a dark story. This is not a love story. There are mysteries and secrets and a behavior that I don't understand and would never want for myself. It makes me very uncomfortable...and I have read literally everything.... sweet, dark, darker...darkest...this one makes me squirm. This is not a Disney Fairytale....

I want to love the hero, Elijah, I really do but boy is he making that difficult. I want to smack Abigail...she's being so dumb. I just don't understand how an innocent virgin can just jump straight into bondage and choking and beatings....it is a mystery.

The author is very good....because I have to know what makes these characters tick...and figure out why what they are doing makes me so very uncomfortable.
