[b:Wild: Part 1|25955019|Wild Part 1 (Bear Essential Billionaire, #1)|Vivi Anna|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1437536189s/25955019.jpg|45858707] by [a:Vivi Anna|72975|Vivi Anna|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1349740084p2/72975.jpg] is a Paranormal Romance Short. It says on Goodreads and Amazon it is 95 pages, but half of that is actually an entirely different story. I will tell you now, the only reason I gave this 2 stars is that the writing is well executed. No typos. However, it needed blue pencil to take out chapters of repetitiveness and wasted words. The 1st chapter is the best. The rest was honestly boring.
This is the type of serial shorts that made me want to NOT read them!
Here is the low down;
Wild: Part 1 Says 95 pages, but the story is about 40 pages. The rest is an entirely different story.
Cost .99 on Amazon
Wild: Part 2 Says 108 pages on Amazon, 97 pages on Goodreads. Half of it is an entirely different story.
Cost 1.99 on Amazon
Wild: Part 3 Says 55 pages. I saw no mention of a second story.
Cost 2.99 on Amazon
So 6$ to read a story that is about 100 to 110 pages total.
I don't know about you, but when I spend 6 dollars on a book I want it to rock my world. I want it to keep me enraptured.
This did not do that. I will not be reading anymore of this series. I am doubtful I will be reading anything else by this author. I don't understand what makes this series so expensive.
So Not Worth It.

A Familiar Kind of Magic by Sylvia Day - 4
I'd say this is BDSM lite, mostly about Dominance and submission. Familiar has gone feral and it's up to Max to collar her.

A short in the Nocturne Bites series that delivers a bit of story and a bit of romance. Does what it's supposed to do. Part of a longer series.

It's set at a wedding where our two main characters meet. Fiona has paranormal powers that she can't control very well, so she's your basic adorable, cute, but clumsy heroine. Hector is a human in this paranormal world and works in the paranormal CSI unit with other regulars from the series. Since it's a novella (maybe even a novelette) and they haven't met before, they have to have lust at first sight, which they do, but it's nicely done and competently written. I enjoyed it.

I have a number of Vivi Anna's books from this series in the TBR and this one makes me want to read more, so I count that as a win.

This has been in my TBR pile since the end of 2012, a novella, which in its short form is compelling. Thoroughly enjoyed.

When a human is murdered in the otherworldly city of Necropolis, vampire Caine Valorian and his Otherworld Crime Unit (which also includes a lycan and a witch) are on the case. Joining them from San Antonio is human crime scene investigator Eve Grant who is sent to Necropolis to help the investigation. While working together, a forbidden attraction develops between Caine and Eve.

The premise of the book sounded interesting, but this book didn't work for me at all mainly due to the heroine. Eve was so naïve and totally ill-prepared for the job and the otherworldly city she was working in. She didn't seem to get that Necropolis had a different set of rules and that she needed to exercise caution since she was a human. She was a hindrance to the team because she constantly needed to be looked after, was always getting herself into trouble because she didn't use common sense, and then she always ended up in tears. Eve seemed more like a child that needed to be coddled instead of a grown-up woman. I also found it ridiculous how at the drop of a hat she wanted Caine to turn her into a vampire and how she wanted to stay with him in Necropolis without sparing any time to think about the consequences that go with it.

I was not sure how I felt after reading this book. So it was 2.5 stars for me but, because of the uniqueness of the book I rounded it up to 3 stars. I really liked Salem and her friends. There was many portions of the book where I was absolutely confused but, I still found that I enjoyed the story. I felt that the book was missing something and needed a little more. I think that the book was decent and would definitely suggest this as a light read!

Going against my 3 star for short novella's reads here. This was a quick fun humorous, read filled with lots of sexual innuendo. Makayla, is a junior writer for a tabloid magazine, looking for the story that will get her a better job. Jonathan is a handsome, rich business man with a secret, and an ex-girlfriend who can't understand "its over".
The humor and one liner's will have you laughing, and the chemistry between Makayla & Jonathan is building and at some point I expect it to go ballistic.
I'm not as fan of serial stories, but I'm hooked.. I have to see where this goes, so on to part 2

Dropping this one down to 3 stars - I enjoy the storyline and the characters very much, but there were more spelling errors & incorrect words in this one. The big one was the use of the word voyeurism For a brief moment I thought about what if someone saw us. Then that just made me hotter. I had no idea I was into voyeurism until I’d met Jonathan.
Anna, Vivi (2013-04-22). The Vampire Affair (Part Two) (Kindle Locations 161-162). . Kindle Edition.
when it should have been exhibitionism

The sex was enjoyable, tasteful and not in your face explicit, but the closet scene with the long black box was wonderful, it made my imagination run wild.

The oversights in this novella haven’t turned me away from the series though – I eagerly await the continuation of the story.

This was a quick read that captured my attention the entire way through.

The characters were great. Caden has many faults, and knows some of them would really piss his dad off. He's arrogant when it comes to his work as an exorcist. Although, that's not real most of the time. Caden was morally flawed at tomes, but honestly, who can blame him. He spent an entire year in hell with demons that didn't really care for him. I loved seeing him grow throughout the book. Butcher became a little wiser, and hopefully learns to make better decisions. Dan, the demon, was pretty likeable. He's very nonchalant, and doesn't seem to let things rattle him. There are times you question his loyalty to Caden, though. I found it hard to relate to Aspen. She seems cold, and doesn't like to open up. I do hope to see more of her character, and get her story.

There aren't many boring spots. There's always some type of action. Many times it leads to Caden getting his butt kicked, which is why I like his character so much. He's human, and flawed. This could easily be a stand alone, but I believe there will be more. I'm pretty excited about that and hope to delve deeper into Aspen and Dan's lives. It would definitely help us to know why they act the way they do.

"2 out of 5 stars, this novel was okay. I mean it had a decent plot, but it seemed to be a little bit written like "Storm Born" [Dark Swan Series, Book 1] by Richelle Mead --- which for me was..."

I really enjoyed the first part of the other brother. This part is split into two halves; the past and present day. It was really nice to get the back story to see where the characters had come from and how the events have now shaped there lives in the present.

When reading the reading about the past, I was unsure whether I really wanted to continue reading the rest of the story. I mean, the older step brother has un-brotherly feelings for his step sister and she is not even of legal age. I can't believe that I am even reading this. Yet I keep reading. Oh and was there a nice little surprise waiting in the storyline. Didn't see that happening and it is just mind blowing.

So needless to say I had to keep reading after that. The present day is even more exciting and how they meeting up again after not seeing each other for 6 years, classic.

As much as a loved the other brother, knowing that the authors have purposely split a novel into three parts is just annoying. The ending is killing me. Yes I will be back to read the next one, but I still would have preferred to read the whole story in one book.
