How delightful to have a new Silverstein to read, and with spoonerisms no less! She was, however, not that interested in my history of Rev. Spooner. ( ) Runny Babbit is a book of poems about the life of a bunny rabbit named "Runny Babbit". In this book, Shel Silverstein switches the first letter or sound of words in a sentence around so it can be confusing to read until you get the hang of it. There are 42 little poem stories about Runny and his friends, Rirty Dat, Dungry Hog, Snerry Jake, Toe Jurtle, Skertie Gunk, and more. This is a fun book to read aloud, and can be quite a tongue twister at times. This story's use of twisted language makes it very unique and very fun for young readers. It is a great book to introduce the genre of poetry to elementary age children with its fun and easy to follow rhythm and rhyme. Readers will laugh as they read this story through a series of poems from different perspectives of different animals. Each animal has their own twisted name and a goofy story to follow. Children of all ages will enjoy trying to read through this tongue twisting story while exposing themselves to a new genre. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
