( ) We’ll Always Have Summer is the third novel in the The Summer I Turned Pretty trilogy by Jenny Han. Plot: Belly and Jeremiah are at college and they are pretty much the dream couple. That is, until Belly finds out that Jeremiah kept something from her, something that calls their entire relationship into question. Suddenly it seems that there is no more time for figuring things out – decisions need to be made instead. Like if Belly really wants to spend the rest of her life with Jeremiah – or if maybe Conrad still has too much of a piece of her heart. We’ll Always Have Summer is one of the most disappointing conclusions to a trilogy I have ever encountered. It was still absolutely readable and engaging, but I just didn’t like the story it told. Read more on my blog: https://kalafudra.com/2023/04/03/well-always-have-summer-jenny-han/ All of the feelings in this book. All of them. I sometimes think that everyone experiences love a little bit differently, and often I get frustrated with books for placing a lot of value on relationships that I couldn't see lasting. There can be a difference between first love and last love, between true love and love that you make work. Han knows what love is and how it feels, and she captures it perfectly in this book, in a way that made my heart break and feel full multiple times over and at the same time. I didn't like that this book had chapters from Conrad's point of view; I think it would have been much stronger to have left the narration more limited. This book could have been entirely unpredictable if not for a few minor details! Belly is still super immature to the point that it really frustrates me sometimes. I love her naiveté and how headstrong she is, but at the same time, I can't help wanting her to grow up a little and relating to her poor parents. Han deals with friendships fairly well also. I enjoyed the process of Belly selecting bridesmaids and understanding how her best friend from high school related to her best friend in college. The second book in this series felt like filler, but this one completed the trilogy with a bang. Can Belly make a final choice between Jeremiah and Conrad? Find out in the conclusion of the New York Times bestselling The Summer I Turned Pretty trilogy from the author of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before (now a major motion picture!). Belly has only ever been in love with two boys, both with the last name Fisher. And after being with Jeremiah for the last two years, she’s almost positive he is her soul mate. Almost. While Conrad has not gotten over the mistake of letting Belly go, Jeremiah has always known that Belly is the girl for him. So when Belly and Jeremiah decide to make things forever, Conrad realizes that it’s now or never—tell Belly he loves her, or lose her for good. Belly will have to confront her feelings for Jeremiah and Conrad and face the inevitable: She will have to break one of their hearts. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
