Times were hard in the 12th century. People were poor and lived in a harsh inviroment. A kind old man by the name of Christopher Kringle felt sorry for the poor children "who had nothing" gave them presents and candy. Children would leave their shoes outside of their doors for Chris to put candy in them. There were so many children in need that Chris decided to do it on one day of the year so he could give to more children. He decided to do this on December 25th. "The day we celebrate, Jesus's birthday. This tradition stuck! Chris is also known as Santa Claus. Today, the spirit of giving still exist and who doesn't love Santa. Santa is the most loved mythical character of all time. Come learn just how we came about some of our traditions and find out just why we do celebrate our favorite holidays.… (más)
