A very simplistic read....not a great mystery, borders on "cozy". The last book in the original series is not quite as strong as the others. The plot was fine, if a bit convoluted but it lacked the inclusion of all the normal characters. There were only brief appearances of the rest of the fam including Randall, Frances and Cara. I did like that Adith Rhodis (the neighbour from the first book who's married to Bud) made an appearance but I missed catching up with everyone else. Even Warren and Maura were less prominent than usual which sucked. Still it was a decent read and engaging enough. 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4. (
