Mr. Thornton definitely has the gift of gab. The book is written as a narrative which is very appealing. The characters from Willie to Maggie are great. The mystery is on the light side but I did not mind as I got caught up in the tale. ( ) The first book in the series is an interesting read, but very quick and easy. Fast paced, with very short, funny chapters, and chock-full of puns! A good book for the beach, perhaps? And since it's witty and light-hearted, this book will appeal to nearly everyone. Have some fun, and read this book tonight! Thanks Mr. Thornhill. I'm sending this book to my mom as well. :D law-enforcement, retired, murder-investigation, murder, humor, bad-puns, puntastic What a hoot! OK, so I fit into the general demographic, so I probably get more of the horrible jokes and puns more than some. And I have worked with law enforcement, so I think that I appreciate some of it a little more as well. The characters certainly are, and the plot is busy and twisty. But bottom line is that this is a really hilarious mystery in spite of the serial killer and other serious subjects. Some of the conversation is a little iffy, and I can easily see my older grandkids doing facepalms, but there is no gratuitous erotica. If this one is any indication, I certainly will get the rest of the series! George Kuch is perfect as the voice of Walt and his friends, a little gravelly and well cadenced. I requested and received a free copy from the publisher, author, or narrator courtesy of AudioBookBOOM. I've decided to write a review on all three Lady Justice books at the same time. These books were such a delight to read! They were quite humorous and entertaining throughout. I did like the first two books, Lady Justice Takes a C.R.A.P. and Lady Justice and the Lost Tapes, a little bit more than the third book, Lady Justice Gets Lei'd. These stories are about a retired realtor Walt Williams, who, after witnessing an elderly woman's purse get stolen, decides to join the police force as a "citizen patrol" officer. He is partnered up with a big officer named Ox (nickname) and they fight crime together. He lives in an apartment building that he owns and also has another building, a hotel for men down on their luck. He has a wonderful girlfriend who is also a realtor and he is friends with many elderly people who live in his buildings. I really liked all three books. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who enjoys mystery, humor and a little romance. I'm looking forward to more Walt Williams books!

At age sixty-five Walt decides he want to help fight crime. He is partnered with Ox, a burly man with his own ideas on how to bring about justice. Walt enters his new job with confidence as he helps finding the Realtor rapist, a killer who's victims happen to be female Realtors. He helps bring in numerous criminals and gets a few bumps and bruises along the way. Armed with his tazer and wit, he shows that he is one senior citizen that takes his job seriously. A light and funny read, with humor and adventure, fun unique and likable characters. Robert Thornhill introduces us to Walt and his friends in a hilarious and exciting read. Willie, Walt's friend and former con who knows all the tricks. Feisty and firm Mary, at 75 this is one apartment manager you won't mess with. Maggie, Walt's sweetheart, also Realtor keeps Walt young at heart. And Professor Leopold Skinner, at 85 he is wise and full of words or wisdom.
