This is a great Christmas time story to share with children. It tells the history of the candycane and the different meanings of it. The red stands for the blood Christ shared for us. The white represents His purity. If the candycane is held one way it looks like a shephard's staff. Jesus guides us like a shephard. If turned the other way, the candycane looks like a J, which stands for Jesus. ( )
