Bullinger's classic work is an invaluable guide to the study of Bible Numerics. Bullinger's two-fold approach to the subject first examines the supernatural design of the Bible. He notes the amazing patterns of numbers and numerical features of the Scriptures that give evidence of their Designer. The second section highlights the spiritual significance and symbolic connotations of numbers which are repeated in different contexts throughout the Bible. An example is the number seven or the use of "666" in the book of Revelation. This study will provide a treasure trove of insights and practical applications for pastors, teachers, and Bible students. Foundational work on Bible numerics or gematria (as the author calls it) NOT numerology, an occult practice. Clarifies the mathematical usages and their spiritual import to the Jewish and Christian mind. Covers most major numerics, but not all. Highly recommended to prophecy students (non-Futurist) and historicists. Very little doctrine is discussed. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
1894. The author attempts to compile a more complete explanation into the numbers found in scripture and the meanings within such numbers. He sets forth general principles and lends a few examples which illustrate each principle, as found within God's word. Part 1, Supernatural Design, discusses the works of God and the word of God, while Part 2 gives the spiritual significance of the ordinal numbers as well as other numbers found within the word of God.
