It’s George I liked this story for two main reasons. First, the book is about a boy, George, that gets made fun of because he can’t write. However he does have a big heart. That big heart has him hang out with and older man every morning, but one morning the man fell down and George called 911 saving the man’s life. After that all the children wanted to know George and be his friend. I liked this book because the pictures in the book are very child friendly. The look like something that a child would draw which I thought made the book look cuter. Also the pictures to a good job at describing the emotions that faces show. Which makes the book more realistic and makes it easier to see how all the children react to different things. The second reason I like this book is it has a very important and positive message. The book shows that it is not everything to be the smartest or the fastest in your class. It is most important to be the kindest and most caring person in your class. Once everyone saw how caring and thoughtful George was on the news they all wanted to be like George. George showed his cool with the way he acted and his cool was the most important cool. Because I liked the message so much it lead me to like the book that much more. In conclusion I liked the book because it had cool pictures and it had a good message about caring This is a good story about one boy's ongoing worries and insecurities in 2nd grade. Children can easily relate to his concerns regarding friends, birthday parties, and doing well in his school work. The book also includes some Spanish, which is translated, giving the story a little bit of an international flavor. Jacob discovers he has a love of beavers. This interest is support and cultivated by his class, teacher, and family. The book could be read out loud to 2nd graders in class and then they could write about their special interests or hobbies. Each child could do a presentation to a younger grade, just like they do in the book. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
Jacob worries a lot. If only he knew how much his friends from second grade really like him! No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
