Rumors about sightings of an alien spaceship create excitement when Arthur's friends come to spend the night. I liked this book for many reasons. First, the language used was directed at a primary level. The vocabulary was mainly site words with a very descriptive story telling aspect. The writing was engaging for students and humorous as they read the story. Being that this is a series book, the characters were not well developed in this book, but the reader knows a bit about the characters from the series as prior knowledge. the illustrations were a great addition to the writing of the book, as children could easily follow along using the pictures to improve comprehension. The main idea of the story is to not believe everything you hear. The boys believed that the aliens were coming so they let DW fool them, but in the end they got her back. This book is great for encouraging and embracing children’s imaginations, while also teaching them not to believe everything you hear. Arthur invites his two best friends over for a sleepover, where they stay outside in a tent. They've been hearing rumors of aliens' space ships landing, and when they see a light flashing outside of their tent, they panic. However, they soon realize it's D.W. playing a prank, so they decide to give her a taste of her own medicine and scare her back. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
