Moments of inspiration from some of your favorite saints: strive to imitate their virtues, learn from their timeless wisdom, and ask for their intercession. Dear St. Padre Pio, I wish I could have traveled to see you in San Giovanni Rotondo to be in your presence, hear your counsel and receive your blessing. You were an extraordinary servant of God, following in Saint Francis of Assisi's footsteps. Now, in Heaven you continue to serve God while interceding for us. Your heart went out to the poor. Guide me to have eyes to see those in need around me and ears to hear the cries of the poor. Pray for me please that I may receive the graces I need to deeply participate in the holy sacrifice of the Mass. Please help me to desire humility, simplicity and the spirit of obedience in my walk of life. Help me to realize the power in suffering united to the will of God.
