The last 4 or 5 chapters jump to present day, 60 years in the future, which is mid-nineties. It ends with a cliffhanger. I think this was probably written as one novel and broken up. It feels similar to Fear Hall in that regard, and I'm sure the second book will start up right where the first left off. It was slow to get into, mainly because I didn't know that most of the book wouldn't even feature a theme park at all! I did like the set up and back story. It's more gory than Stine books usually are which was a nice surprise, as half the time nobody ever dies in his books. I'm looking forward to finishing the trilogy. I was happily surprised by this one. It isn't a typical Fear Street book. The story is mostly set in 1935 during a time when Shadyside is petitioning to reclaim a portion of the Fear family woods to build a theme park (think Coney Island). I'd recommend this to fans who are familiar with the series and the Fear family. You don't need to know the family history to enjoy the book but you'll probably appreciate it more. There was a nice mix of supernatural and gore, along with one of the most gruesome scenes I've read by Stine. I highly recommend this. It is book one of a three-part "Fear Park" trilogy. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Dierdre's dad is about to open a new amusement park on Fear Street, even though 80 years ago someone tried to build an amusement park in exactly the same spot, and more than a dozen kids got killed before it opened. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
