Dorothy Louise Eady (alias Om Seti o Omm Sety) (1904-1981)1​ fue una mujer inglesa que creía ser una habitante del Antiguo Egipto reencarnada, una sacerdotisa y sirvienta de la corte de Seti I llamada Bentreshyt.2​

Tal y como ella misma contó la historia, cuando tenía tres años de edad sufrió una grave caída en el interior de su casa familiar eduardiana, quedó inconsciente, fue declarada muerta y colocada sobre la cama familiar. Después de disfrutar lo que ella y su familia creían una recuperación milagrosa, la joven comenzó a afirmar vínculos de parentesco con el antiguo Egipto. Un viaje en familia al Museo Británico aclaró su creencia de que había experimentado un evento traumático de metempsicosis, y de ese modo recuperó la memoria de sus experiencias anteriores.

La pequeña Eady exigió y recibió el derecho a estudiar (o volver a estudiar) el lenguaje y la tradición de lo que ella creía que había sido su vida anterior. En el Museo, Ernest Wallis Budge le enseñó a leer jeroglíficos, y Dorothy estudió Egiptología con avidez hasta 1930, año en que se trasladó a Egipto y se casó con un ciudadano egipcio. Tuvo un hijo, Seti, y comenzó a llamarse a sí misma "Om Seti" o madre de Seti.

Durante un período de tiempo de su vida, según ella contaba, tenía románticos encuentros nocturnos con el fantasma de Seti I. La primera vez se le apareció como la momia embalsamada que es hoy, las siguientes veces como un hombre de aspecto totalmente normal, bien entrado en la cincuentena. Después de su matrimonio, sus supuestas visitas se volvieron platónicas, de conformidad con las creencias egipcias de la vida después de la muerte, aunque tras su divorcio las visitas volvieron a ser más subidas de tono.

Vivió en Abidos desde 1954, continuando sus estudios de Egiptología y trabajando con los egiptólogos Selim Hassan y Ahmed Fakhry como la primera mujer empleada en el Consejo Supremo de Antigüedades egipcio. Trabajó como asistente de investigación arqueológica durante casi 20 años.

Está enterrada en el desierto cerca de Shunet el-Zebib. Además de sus propias publicaciones, ha sido objeto de numerosos libros.

As she herself told the story, when she was three years old she suffered a serious fall inside her Edwardian family home, she was unconscious, she was declared dead and placed on the family bed. After enjoying what she and her family believed a miraculous recovery, the young woman began to affirm ties of kinship with ancient Egypt. A family trip to the British Museum clarified his belief that he had experienced a traumatic event of metempsychosis, and thereby regained the memory of his previous experiences.

Little Eady demanded and received the right to study (or re-study) the language and tradition of what she believed to have been her previous life. In the Museum, Ernest Wallis Budge taught him to read hieroglyphics, and Dorothy studied Egyptology with avidity until 1930, the year he moved to Egypt and married an Egyptian citizen. She had a son, Seti, and began to call herself "Om Seti" or mother of Seti.

During a period of time in her life, she said, she had romantic nocturnal encounters with the phantom of Seti I. The first time she appeared to him as the embalmed mummy that she is today, the following times as a man of normal appearance, well entered the fiftieth. After their marriage, their supposed visits became platonic, in accordance with the Egyptian beliefs of the life after the death, although after their divorce the visits returned to be more rises of tone.

She lived in Abydos since 1954, continuing her studies in Egyptology and working with the Egyptologists Selim Hassan and Ahmed Fakhry as the first woman employed in the Supreme Council of Egyptian Antiquities. He worked as an archaeological research assistant for almost 20 years.

She is buried in the desert near Shunet el-Zebib. In addition to his own publications, he has been the subject of numerous books.
