A more sentimental romance novel than I usually read, touching and quite a lot of pathos. Read well by William Dufris who's read dozens of books. There's another audiobook of the same book read by Angela Dawe whom I see has narrated 30 books at my library! Chandler Brothers series and I'll get to the other two one day as there is something special about the story spun around the Chandler family. Published in 2001, but it didn't seem a 20 year old book to me. ( )

Ok, mindless, easy to read, a rather bit overly Trite in some places, Because WE ALL KNOW, In Real Life, Men Do NOT talk like they do in Romance Novels.

This is the 2nd in a series, but I didn't know it, and I read it first.

There are Three brothers: Roman "The Bachelor", Rick "The Playboy" and Chase "The Heartbreaker", who live in the small town of Yorkshire Falls. The brothers' mother is a typical meddling yenta, w/ a make-believe heart condition that proves to be her undoing. Mother has been egging all the single women in town to go after Rick, which leads to one particular problem who refuses to take "NO" for an answer.

Kendall Sutton's, Aunt Crystal, has passed and left Kendall her house. Just as Kendall Arrives in town, w/ pink hair & in a bridal gown (fleeing her wedding), her car breaks down and Rick (local Police) arrives to her rescue....

From there is ups, downs, double-talk, sparks, steamy sex, and problematic family & neighbors. ( )

I like Kendell and Rick. And Kendell's sister is a trip. This book did seem to be a bit overlong to me but that could just be contemporary burn out. In the end I'm glad Kendell got herself together and she and Rick should have great future.

This was an ok book, i dont know if ill read another by her tho. Too many details for my liking but i did like the story line, the characters and things like that. Not sure if ill read another. Maybe another time or something :) ( )

This is the second book in the Chandler Bros. series. It is much better than the first book, and these characters are more interesting and the heroine is very amusing. Rick is the local cop and Kendall is just" passing"" thru and is stranded in a wedding dress with pink hair. so begins the story of these two. It includes Mother Chandler who is a busy body and manipulator par excellent, trying to get her sons married.
But the repartee between Rick and Kendall is often very funny and makes for pleasant reading.
