Last spring, "Judou", a movie produced jointly by China & Japan, was nominated as the best foreign-language picture for Oscar Academy Award of 1991. The movie is based on a Chinese novel, "The Obsessed". Now the English edition of the book has just come off the press. It tells a tragic story of a pretty young woman who, unable to stand the brutality of her aged husband, tries to seek true love & a happy life of her own.
