This author is under the misguided apprehension that if a leechcraft medicinal recipe used a mustard plaster; then, this is a suitable recipe for your ham. She includes tansy in recipes without any knowledge that this can induce an abortion, particularly in the early weeks of pregnancy. Duke Cariodoc has a 7 page diatribe on how wrong this book is and yet they keep publishing it.
