A compilation of quick references dealing with WWII. The texts are well written but the maps are not very useful overall. If one has a good Atlas of the War , be prepared to consult that as well. Not perfect as a one-volume reference, but pretty good, as it was a very large war. ( )

It is essentially a thick book filled with facts and figures but not comprehensive per item wise, about the WW 2. It comes in useful when one wants to do a quick reference on the war period or a leisurely reading cum information digestion. ( )

Superb. Comprehensive and has never let me down yet. Particularly strong on the undercover war - unsurprisingly, considering its editors. ( )
