This is a cute story about how during Christmas time it's about love and family and not toys that bring Christmas cheer.

This is a great story about a little boy who finds the true meaning of Christmas. Little Trevor wakes up one Christmas morning and realizes that he'd missed something on his list because there was no brown puppy under the tree. This leads him to start making a Christmas list for the following year so he wouldn't miss anything. At frist he started listing small things, but it quickly got out of control. He began listing everything he could possibly imagine. He lists: binoculars with night vision, go-kars that speed, shoes to walk on the ceiling, and even a nuclear jet pack. Over the next year, his list stretched out over 500 feet. When Trevor goes to mail this long list, he finds out that it would cost him too much money to mail and the postman tells him to make his list shorter. That night, he realized that he had asked for too much and he might get nothing instead. Christmas morning comes around and Trevor wakes to a little brown puppy. He realized that it takes love, not toys, to bring cheer to Christmas.

Sweet story that brings the spirit of Christmas to your heart. An enjoyable holiday tale that you could read with your students or your kids. Very big, fun and expressive illustrations that cover each page-almost animated. The young boy having a change of heart is a great lesson to shar with all young kids.
