For everyone who camps, hikes, drives or just meandersoutdoors, this enthusiastically acclaimed book (praised by nature editors everywhere) will be an exciting discovery. The chapters titles tell the story; here is apartial list: Observations on food plants Something for the children Plant crafts Dyeing with roadside plants Remedies on the roadside Wild plants in and out of the house Useful trees Useful shrubs Herbaceous plants Plants of wet places Lichens and fungi Poisonous plants If you are a nature enthusiast, motorist, teacher, librarian, Scout, or camper, don't miss this book. It is a storehouse of fascinating information which will add tremendously to your pleasure outdoors. Parents will find many suggestions for amusing children with things made from natural materials which are all around us.
