The "Unknown Story of Rare Groove" is a tour de force of easy to digest Historical chronology, which pulls no punches, in its attempts to untangle the often complicated Symbiosis which connects the various strands of UK Dance culture, by taking you on an exciting, often Candid journey through the various aspects of contemporary UK Dance music. A Music scene, which was largely Created by the First Generation 'Children of the Windrush' Caribbean Pioneers, who Collectively represent the best of UK Talent & Creativity. This book also examines the music's huge Economic potential, from the birth of the Original West End Rare Groove scene in the 1970s through to the evolution of its '2-Step' underground counterpart born out of the Reggae Sound System (Blues Dances) of the 1980s. At a time when the Jamaican presence in the UK & Sound System Culture are in the public spotlight, with many from the Golden generation of the 1960s starting to pass away, it is more important than ever to document their legacy, so this book could not have come at a better or more appropriate time, to contribute towards preserving this rich history for Future Generations to come. This book aims to, more than anything else "GIVE PEOPLE THEIR FLOWERS (CREDIT & RECOGNITION) WHILST THEY ARE STILL ALIVE", as well as, relate the entire background story, that has Never ever been told in its entirety.… (más)
