This story was one that was full of so many emotions and it was beautifully done. I don’t see it as a retelling or even a romantic story but a story of what could have been, and great fantasy read. It gives us Anastasia in various stages growing up, finding and discovering magic, the conflicts she encounters, and so much more. The strength she possesses is phenomenal and the story is so descriptive you feel as if you are a part of it living it with the characters, yet at times it could be daunting for me because I’m a romance reader and the steam and connection doesn’t come for a long time plus the author is creating this world using history and fantasy to weave this epic reads. Open your mind and enjoy this fantasy read because it is one that is beautiful. ( )
