In sorrow over the deaths of her husband and son, Emily blames God and has left the Church. She spends her days alone until John enters her life by inadvertently trespassing on her beachfront property. Troubled by the sins of his past, John appears to all who observe him to be a devout Catholic, yet like Emily, he struggles with his inability to trust God.There is never any coincidence in God's providence.
