Nightwing, Vol. 2: Get Grayson collects issues 87-91 from the fourth volume of Nightwing’s self-titled series and Superman: Son of Kal-El no. 9 written by Tom Taylor with pencils by Bruno Redondo and Geraldo Borges, inks by Wade von Grawbadger, colors by Adriano Lucas, and letters by Wes Abbott. The story picks up after Dick Grayson’s announcement that he intends to use his newfound fortunate to tackle the major social issues in Blüdhaven. In response, someone put out a hit on Dick’s life. The story then follows Dick as his friends in the Titans, Barbara Gordon (Batgirl/Oracle), and Wally West (the Flash) support him and work to help his larger goals of effecting positive change in Blüdhaven. A sub-plot sees Grayson assisting Jon Kent (Superman) after Clark Kent asked him to be there for Jon while Clark is off-world. Both the main and subplot showcase Dick Grayson at his best.

Like the previous volume, Tom Taylor’s writing is brilliant storytelling that honors Nightwing as a character while Bruno Redondo and Geraldo Borges’ art perfectly illustrates the story. Redondo is a master at portraying movement across long panels and splash pages. Adriano Lucas’ and Wade von Grawbadger’s colors and inks perfectly compliment Redondo and Borges’ artwork. This is another great story for fans of Nightwing! ( )
