"The goal of this product is to provide nurses and all healthcare providers with the resources to care for active military and veterans. There are 21.8 million veterans of the U.S. armed forces as of 2014, according the Census Bureau, approximately 10 percent of whom are women. Only approximately 42% of those veterans use the VA. This means that nurses and healthcare professionals are caring for a specific set of needs that they are not trained for. 70% of veterans that commit suicide never go to the VA, they seek treatment elsewhere. There is a desperate need for resources that help nurses and healthcare providers reach this population"--
