Our hero Knight Tristan de Barre and his men were murdered in 1292. They are cursed to be ghosts and haunt Dreadmoor Castle forever. As a girl Andi Monroe visited the castle and thought she saw a knight. Years later she is a Forensic archeologist. Andi is excavating the site and studying the legend of a medieval knight who disappeared. But although she's usually rational, Andi could swear she's met the handsome knight's ghost. Only a few people have been able to see Tristan and his men over the many years since they where murdered, Tristan and Andi have to fall in in love and find a way to break the curse. It's a great story.

Until she finds a way to lift the curse, though, love doesn't stand a ghost of a chance. ( )

This story of a centuries old ghost lord and his knights cursed by a deranged and vengeful man and who are discovered by an archeologist is probably one of the sweetest romances I've read in a while. My only complaint is that the author did such a good job of making Tristan and his men likeable it was hard to believe that they could have ever been hardened warriors who had killed hundreds of enemies in battle. Well, that and a couple of the secondary characters were interesting enough to make one very curious as to what may have happened to them also, but it is something we'll never discover.

I even liked the heroine, archeologist Andrea Monroe, which was a pleasant surprise. She was spunky without being overbearing or overly self-conscious. A nice blend for a perky part. Tristan seemed very innocent for who he was supposed to be but I think that was part of his appeal.

This is certainly not one for lovers of the more risqué romances, but a great one for those who enjoy cute, romantic stories of falling in love against impossible odds. I'd certainly recommend it! ( )

It's about a young woman, Andrea Monroe, who is a forensic archeologist who is assigned to look at some bones found on Dreadmore Castle grounds. As she is doing research she finds some interesting things about Lord Dreadmore's state of "existance". This later leads to them falling in love and some other interesting adventures.
The main character is Andrea Monroe. She is a young successful woman of science and is not so lucky when it comes to romance. She changes throught the book emotionally and romantically.
I related to Andrea because at first when she meets people she is shy, like me, but once she gets to know people she opens up.
I loved this book so much. I couldn't put it down.
I would recommend this book to teen's and older. Also to people who like romance and mystery. ( )

Twelve years ago, Andrea “Andi” Monroe’s over active imagination made her think she saw the appartition of a medieval knight and she’s dreamed of him ever since. Now Dr. Monroe, a highly respected forensic archeologist, she is given the opportunity to excavate a site located in that same location, knowing full well that ghosts don’t exist. Always fascinated by castle Dreadmoor and the legend of the mighty Dragonhawk who - with fourteen of his best knights -disappeared without a trace right out of medieval history, Andi jumps at the chance to investigate a body found under an ancient oak and the cache of weapons buried with it. But things get a bit more complicated when the ghosts of said legend show up.

Tristan de Barre, the infamous and cursed Dragonhawk, Lord of Dreadmore didn’t mean to let Andrea find out that he was a ghost, but being incorporeal has its disadvantages. He certainly didn’t mean to fall in love with her. But after seven centuries of loneliness with only his fellow ghostly knights and his mortal stewards to keep him company….well any man would be tempted. As would any woman who meets the knight of her dreams - literally. But one of them being dead is not the worst of this couple’s problems when a malevolent spirit tries to keep them apart.

This was a very cute story that I enjoyed immensely. A nice debut novel from Cindy Miles, I expect good things from her - supposedly she going to be writing ghost romances. This one was not of the incredibly steamy sort, but you’d be surprised by how sensual a ghostly touch can be.
