Morgie99 | Jul 7, 2023 |   The story line was very interesting, but the language was very typical YA and not very creative but I’m giving it 4 stars cause I will definitely be needing to read the next book. For people wondering, there is very little to no smut in this book. Lots of sexual tension, a few kisses, and one juicier scene (  ) willowzz | Jun 27, 2023 | The tone of this book also just didn’t work for me. It’s hard for me to put my finger on why that was exactly. I think part of the issue was there were some things that seemed like they were maybe trying to be funny but the tone is so serious the whole time and that makes it hard to tell if it’s actually humor or not. Also this book does the very typical high school RH things where all other girls except one are absolutely horrible bullies. This is a minor pet peeve of mine so I can usually ignore it but it’s so cliche here. I’ll probably continue this series but not until all the books are out. I’ve read some reviews of book two that make me think I won’t like it so I know if I try to read it now, I’ll probably DNF the series. I honestly didn't realize I was going to like this book as much as I do. I'm already halfway through book two and oh my god, all I keep doing is bawling my brains out.
Both books are definitely worth it. (
