I won't lie, I’m not a huge fan of rich controlling guys, so I wasn’t sure if I’d like this one…
Well let me tell you, it was fantastic! Zahra was a strong female lead which made this story a favourite. She’s a sweetheart, and I love her family, especially her sister Ami. I think Zahra is one of the happiest characters I’ve ever come across but she isn’t afraid to stand up for herself, especially when it comes to Rowan.
Speaking of Rowan, he’s definitely a jerk in the beginning, but once we start peeling back the layers we find how emotional abuse can really affect someone.
I’m so glad I found this serious. I can’t wait for the next two! (
