Omen Bites picks up where Spells Trouble left off.Marcy and Hunter are still struggling with the death of their mother but the town is in danger and the ancient trees are still damaged. But with everything that is going on and has happened the girls' relationship is strained. I really enjoyed the first but I was really excited to get the chance to read this book! I liked that I was able to get to know the characters more in this book! With the dual point of views and more character building I really felt like I could relate to the characters this time around! The world building is just as beautiful as the first time around! I am really looking forward to see what the next book brings us! I enjoyed Omens Bite much more than I enjoyed Spells Trouble. In Spell Trouble I felt like I was slogging through some chapters to get to the end of the book. In Omens Bite, I did not want to put the book down. I am a little concerned about Amphitrite, she is pretty fishy. Kirk is also a worrisome character. Hunter and Mercy need to have a serious talk with each other. There is just so much unfinished business. I can't wait for book #3 to see what happens to the twins and their town next. #OmensBite sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

While this one still held my attention, and was a quick read, I didn't enjoy it as much as the first. I will say that with both this one and the first one I kept thinking about how much my junior high self would have loved these books. Some of the ways the characters behave in this can be frustrating at times but it is helpful to remember that they are around 16 years old and it makes more sense.
I am interested to see how this all gets resolved in (hopefully) the next book. ( )
