I was thinking that it was only a British historical murder mystery and wasn't expecting to suddenly laugh myself silly at something akin to a punch line. Rather like this one: *Life without gravy is no life at all* delivered by Skelton's wife after having been at death's door from pneumonia. Oh there's lots more, some overt and some very sly. Rather like the assortment of characters. That's not to say that the investigation undertaken to prove that despite a ton of evidence to the contrary, Dr Aziz was innocent. Loved it! I requested and received a free temporary ebook from Allison & Busby via NetGalley. Thank you! sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

I would strongly recommend the book for all the mystery lovers. The characters, the plot and the climax are in perfect synchronization. Also, the thing which I liked most in the story is that the author has not attempted to make our protagonist, Arthur Skelton, a perfect lawyer. The climax of the book was totally unexpected. The book is definitely a five star read. Read full review on bibliophileverse.blogspot.com (
