How have I missed this series?! Although I just dropped into a series in progress I didn't get lost, I only want to read the others to have more good laughs.
About those murders, I think that the wrong miscreant got murdered! I think Gia's alleged witchly wife should have been slapped and then flushed! Instead there was one cop snitch and one beauty scam artist. The sleuthing was good, but the food was mouth watering! Fantastic recipes at the end!

Poppy McAllister has made her decision between Gia and Tim and things are not great. Telling Gia that she wants to be with him is complicated by finding out that he's married when his wife shows up! But trusting Gia when he says that he has been trying to get a divorce, Poppy goes to Tim to tell him that she has chosen Gia. Tim is not happy and forces Poppy to leave his restaurant and fires her as his baker.

Poppy and Gia have a booth at the Beauty Expo serving their gluten goodies and coffee specialties. When Poppy sees that Tim and his new girlfriend have set up a competing booth, she realizes how hurt Tim was. Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Lance Rubin is also at the Expo touting his new procedures that will supposedly turn out to be a fountain of youth. But he's also a womanizer and has been trying to get Poppy to come for a "special" treatment. Coming to Dr. Rubin's procedure area with his coffee order, Poppy finds him dead on this exam table.

Who did this? why? The mystery is carefully woven throughout along with Poppy's troubles with Gia and Tim. And of course, Aunt Ginny has to get in the mix. This is one of my favorite series and I look forward to seeing Poppy realize the happiness she deserves. ( )
