Funny, the blurbs kept talking about it being hilarious - what was funny? Everyone reacted reasonably. Maybe I'm too immersed in the medieval viewpoint - even Pagan thinks the monks' rules are reasonable, just annoying. I suppose someone who didn't know how they thought then might find them funny - self-imposed random restrictions...Or maybe it's the reaction to the girl? I was too busy worrying about her to find her funny. I don't know. Good story, I want the next one. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

It took me only one evening to read this book as I found it impossible to put down. There is just something about seeing the world through Pagan's eyes and mind that I find very appealing. It was so very easy to sympathize with Pagan's anger over the injustices in the abbey and his dissolving relationship with Lord Roland.
Although I know that the last book of this series is actually not told from Pagan's POV, I'm still looking forward to reading the resolution of this series. ( )
