Jonathan King the ruler of all, the ultimate player in a game of war, and overall King. He is ruthless when it comes to anything he wants and now he has his sights set on Aurora. Jonathan King does not play around nor does he joke so when he expects someone to do something for him, he doesn’t hesitate to use his authority to get it. I thought from previous books that I wouldn’t like his character, but I loved him because while he is cruel and ruthless, he can sometimes show a little compassion here and there. He is out to discover more about Aurora and the secrets he thinks she is keeping and do so he has overpowered her by taking over her pride and joy, her watch company. The tension between them is intense where Jonathan wants to dominate her and use her, she just wants to save her company and move forward in life. There is a mystery surrounding Aurora and the King family that has you guessing but never really knowing everything that is truly going on. I was on the edge trying hard to figure out what was truly going on and I couldn’t stop reading knowing I didn’t want it to end but needing to find out more. Not to spoil anything because like the other books it should be experienced but I loved this read and it is book one of two but book two isn’t that far of a wait. The secrets that follow Aurora are intense and kept me wondering what would happen next and although I don’t see Jonathan hanging his ruthless ways it was nice to see that a small sliver of softness come through just for her and her alone. In fact, I have a feeling in the next book we are going to see next level ruthlessness from him, and it is going to be epic!! ( ) This was a story that I didn't even know that I needed or truly wanted. If someone would have asked me before if Jonathan King was truly a character that I wanted to read about in his own story, my answer wouldn't have been an emphatic yes since Ethan had my interest piqued more than Jonathan. Would I have read it? Considering, that I did and loved it is a testament to me loving all things by this author. This duet gave me all the things that I have come to expect from this author. The storyline with fringes of darkness, a dominating man with a Devil-may-care attitude, the touch of suspense, and a heroine that had me wanting more questions answered were all at play in this story. I was invested in finding out what was going on in the story as it progressed and seeing if I could figure out the secrets that were woven into the story. I have loved everything that this author writes. I am drawn to how she can create a story that infuses light with dark and can transpose me to another time and place. That takes skill and a wicked mind. I am not sure what the future holds for this duet. All I do know is that whatever it is, I am here for it. After reading this story I am even more invested in the other continuing on and giving Knox and Ethan a story too. She has proven that she is up to the task. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Powerful. Untouchable. Corrupted. He's also my dead sister's husband and way older than me. When I first met him as a clueless child, I thought he was a god. Now, I have to confront that god to protect my business from his ruthless grip. Little did I know that declaring a war on the king will cost me everything. When Jonathan covets something, he doesn't only win, he conquers. Now, he has his sights on me. He wants to consume not only my body, but also my heart and my soul. I fight, but there's no escaping the king in his kingdom... Reign of a King is the first part of a duet and is not standalone. The entire duet is complete.
