This book does deal with a lot of depression, anxiety and grief. I really loved how this book took place over a whole year it reminded me of the structure of maybe next time by kassie west. I also loved how this magic system did deal with climate change. The main character as ever was super isolated and dealing with alot, so sometimes it was hard to be in her head. It was super quick read and loved the romance the developed, it was def not what i predicted. It was really unique witch novel that was super modern and i will def read more by this author in the future. I really loved this book. DNF @ 35% - It just got too cheesy for me, all the internal talk about her magic and how she's holding back. I would have liked more background on her as a character. How she grew up, how she discovered she was an Ever, etc. Also the cover is obviously a girl flipping her hair up - with all the writing about controlling the wind, it would have been better if she was caught mid-spin so her hair had a more tornado feel to it, rather than just a plain hair flip. I do love the background behind the girl on the cover though! sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

HTML: An Instant New York Times Bestseller In a world where witches control the climate and are losing control, only one witch can save earth from destruction. But as her power grows, it hurts those closest to her, and when she falls in love with her training partner she's forced to choose between her power, her love, and saving the earth. For centuries, witches have maintained the climate, but now their control is faltering as the atmosphere becomes more erratic; the storms, more destructive. All hope lies with Clara, a once-in-a-generation Everwitch whose magic is tied to every season. In Autumn, Clara wants nothing to do with her power. It's wild and volatile, and the price of her magicâ??losing the ones she lovesâ??is too high, despite the need to control the increasingly dangerous weather. In Winter, the world is on the precipice of disaster. Fires burn, storms rage, and Clara accepts that she's the only one who can make a difference. In Spring, she falls for Sang, the witch training her. As her magic grows, so do her feelings, until she's terrified Sang will be the next one she loses. In Summer, Clara must choose between her power and her happiness, her duty and the people she loves...before she loses Sang, her magic, and thrusts the world into chaos. That is all I am giving away from the story. I think. Now it’s time for some honesty. I don’t read enough YA to be a professional in this genre but I can tell you that I really did enjoy this. I am hoping that there might be a book two. I loved the magic in this book and thought it was a very unique take. The nature and weather that the author ties into each season in the book are just simply beautiful. I also loved that the author had a bisexual main character and managed to write it without it being complicated or questioned or over-explained or rationalized. There is so much beautiful character growth in this novel. There are not enough novels that express that love is love no matter who you chose to love. . Griffin elegantly explores risk and trust and believing in yourself. This was just an outstanding feel-good read. Thank you NetGalley for my arc I am truly sorry for my delay.
