( ) I am a long-time fan of vampire literature and was really looking forward to reading this book, but I am disappointed with it and would not classify it as erotica. I didn't like many of the stories included (some of them were annoying and pretty gross). I have a copy of Love in Vein II, so hopefully it is better than this collection. This is an anthology of vampire erotica collected by Poppy Z. Brite by invitation, or by those she invited passing on invites to others. The quality is quite variable. There are a few wonderful stories, there are some odd ones, there are some disturbing ones and one or two downright unpleasant ones. There are odd takes from familiar names, a few of them being blasts from the past a few names of authors I still read avidly. If you like your vampire fiction all grown up and feisty you will probably find some stories in here you like and it's worth a read just for that, but you probably won't like them all. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

A sexy new repackaging of the extremely popular anthology of vampire erotica, edited by acclaimed author Poppy Z. Brite. The classic horror tale is about fear. But in the last few years a new literature of the macabre has arisen, one that goes deeper than horror, beyond fear, to explore our darkest, most intimate hungers. The ones even lovers are forbidden to share. Acclaimed dark fantasy author Poppy Z. Brite has brought together this genre's most powerful and seductive authors in an original collection of vampiric erotica, a shameless celebration of unspeakable intimacies. It is not for everyone. But neither is the night. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
