This is shockingly enjoyable, and I'll just say that though it has a happy for now romance, the story is ongoing, so be ready to want the next in the series! :) ( ) Could have been a higher rating, enjoyed it greatly, but definitely angry at the not-end. Cutting off mid-scene is not even a proper cliffhanger, let alone a proper ending of any kind. It's a very good story, it deserves a lot better than being chopped into pieces at some arbitrary word count barrier, or what ever prompted the stopping point. Reading on anyway because the rest of the story is done and available, but if it hadn't been finished when I found it, this is the sort of thing that makes me walk away and not come back no matter how good the story is. Endings are important. As a fan of both fantasy and mm romance I think this is a successful combination of both. It reminds me of Game of Thrones a bit, with all the intrigue, deception and plot twists. The dynamics between Roland and Sairis make sense, as does their developing relationship. The supporting characters are interesting and believable. I do appreciate that there is some trans inclusiveness. My only small criticism is that this really should have been just one book instead of broken up into three. I can't imagine anybody would want to stop reading after the first or second book. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
