Jackie Jones is a hard-boiled detective in 1940s New York. Butch, tough, and smart, she also happens to fall for every dame that walks through her door. Full of romance, mystery, and some over-the-top antics, Ms. Jones is the noir lesbian detective you didn't know you needed. Jackie is convinced that the rich woman with the lost dog is not only rude, but most likely wasting her time. But when Jackie sees a photograph of the adorable Schnauzer, the rough detective's heart melts just enough for her to take it on. As Jackie gets to know her client, Susie, sparks fly -- and are put out just as quickly. Arguing every step of the way, Jackie and Susie make their way through the city desperate to find the lost dog. Only when they find themselves caught in a rainstorm, hiding under a bridge in Central Park, are their true feelings are finally revealed.
