Nikolas is about to enter into an eminently suitable marriage to someone he really can't stand, but his new fiance is the perfect Omega with the perfect pedigree. They both are perfectly fine with the arranged status of their marriage and they are both fine with them getting their needs met otherwise, especially since Nikolas' new fiance really doesn't want to have anything to do with sex. Jaimie is a delightful young Omega who doesn't have the perfect pedigree, but is a nice person. His first day on the job, he meets the boss, Nikolas, and sparks fly. They start a nice quasi-relationship, right up until things that Jaimie finds out all of the secrets that his Alpha has been hiding. I love Jaimie. He's a sweet and beautiful soul. Just a joy to be around. I kind of like Nikolas most of the time, but there are times that he's an entitled twit. He just doesn't get why Jaimie feels the way that he does about things. But overall, I enjoyed the book. Needs a good editor... missing words, wrong words, extra words and rampant misuse of commas. Also too much repetition. Seems I'm not the target audience for Omegaverse. To me it read too much like the worst of M/F romance dynamic. And if you're going to introduce knotting... just mentioning the word doesn't cut it. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Mediocre writing paired with a beat-up plot. The whole conflict in this book is based on a weird miscommunication that should take exactly four words to clear. But Jai is too engrossed in his own misery which he clearly enjoyed and would not listen to Nick. Nick on his part has trouble explaining his engagement situation and pushing the four very important words out of his mouth: “the engagement is off”; instead Nick sounds like a broken record “it’s not what it looks like”. Meh. And more meh.
Will not recommend to anyone. ( )
