She had some health issues in the past that she still coming to terms with. Rukh was alone for a long time before connecting with Harlow, so he has a lot of stuff to deal with. They are really good together and are very committed to each other. I really like how this book covers such a long time, probably close to two years, and it really shows the characters growth. ( ) This was another fun read in the series. The story was cute and sweet, I loved the characters-- which was surprising because I did not initially like Harlow in the previous story. She and Ruhk were adorable. I'm enjoying the way the series is progressing. It's a slice of life with a bit of adventure thrown in. I certainly have enjoyed this book, I like Harlow and Rukh and found their relationship adorable. However, I would have loved if we saw more of the females talents. I know this is supposed to be a romantic book, but making them unique would only enchant the experience of reading. In the end of the last book it was prompted that Harlow is good with crafting and machines, and suddenly in this book all of her capabilities disappeared, she was left as a shell of her previous self. The only thing she cared about was Rukh and fucking. This certainly annoyed me. The story itself was lovely and I liked the sweet moments between the couple. Overall, I would recommend it. I think out of all the ones I’ve read so far, this one was probably my favorite. I like how Harlow and Ruhk had so much time apart from everyone else. I liked seeing them at the beach, it being a different location and the elements not quite so harsh. But I think what I liked the most about this book was how much growth we got to see from Ruhk. He literally went from someone with the mindset of a small abandoned wild child who’s had to fend for himself his entire life and not even know his own language. To someone who took a mate and learn to communicate with her. And even learning to except the tribe has his family. It was nice to see that evolution. And of course, it’s nice to see the babies finally coming. Another fun edition of this cute little sci fi romance series. There wasn't quite as much world building or action in this one as the last one. One of the things that held it back for me was the naïveté of the hero. Even though he had lived his life alone, I think he would not have been so clueless about sex. He'd seen animals do it . His intelligence combined with his animal instinct would probably have helped him out more than it seemed to here. I did like the language barrier issue. That's always fun to read. The heroine was nicely done. Very pragmatic and smart about her situation. I continue to enjoy this series and will definitely read the next one. The ice planet has given me a second lease on life, so I'm thrilled to be here. Sure, there's no cheeseburgers, but I'm healthy and ready to be a productive member of the small tribe. What I didn't anticipate? That there'd be a savage stranger waiting nearby, watching me. And when he takes me captive, the unthinkable happens . . . I resonate to him. Resonance means mating, and children . . . but I don't know if this guy's ever been around anyone before. He's truly a barbarian in all ways, right down to clubbing me over the head and claiming me as his own. So why is it that I crave his touch and hunger for more? Contains mature themes.
