I'm not sure what I expected, but I'm fairly certain I got much more than anticipated. This was an exciting book. There were several times I found myself wanting to scream at the heroine to trust her gut. I could feel the bad things coming, but, of course, she ignored the warnings. The heroine is relatable in a sheltered and naive way and the "tainted" characters who have been introduced are interesting. We've heard the human viewpoint that has been told to the heroine and I'm hoping the next book will give us the alternate perspective. I plan to continue the series. Book one was definitely worth more than I paid for it. ( ) Hated the main character I liked Hazel until I realized she was prejudiced and really idiotic. The story is good but I can't stand when a woman blindly runs away from a fairly good situation when she knows certain death waits for her outside. I see it a lot in stories and it just seems stupid. I'm going to read the next book but may stop reading if she continues being so stupid. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

She never should've taken the dare. In a destroyed world plagued with pestilence and monsters, nothing was easy. It's brutal, deadly, and most often, short. Hazel thought she understood who her enemies were: starvation, infection, her mama's disgusting lima beans, and the Tainted - human beasts full of death, fury, and poison. That's why she never saw it coming. The death. The lies. The complete betrayal. No one said love wouldn't destroy you. -Goodreads. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
