I chose to tag gender neutral with this books because they do have what appears to be a young boy on the beach but refers to him as a person. That was the only person illustrated. The rest of the story is told with other animals and insects. The illustration as a whole is simple, colorful, and inviting. This was a counting book that used feet to count and for each number they would show the number in one animal and then he would combine the animals to form the number. The base unit was crabs with 10 feet and then they used snails (1 leg), dogs (4 feet), insects (6 legs), and spiders (8 legs). The illustrations were fun and colorful and helped keep interest. Overall, this was a wonderful book that I enjoyed reading to see how math can be combined with reading. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
