The Bible doctrine of the antichrist appears within a clearly defined scheme of prophetic events which will unfold upon the earth in the last days. The antichrist is presented in scripture as a spirit of evil which appears periodically during the course of history. However, this spirit of evil will be climaxed in one person of evil at the end of time. The person of the antichrist and the events of the last days will be inseparable.
