I loved the premise of this book. It was super fun and interesting to be in all the characters heads throughout this novel. It def made me understand all these characters and see them more as 3D character. I thought Ariel the character had such a unique arc in this novel and it def let it open for a sequel. I just found this be a super fun read and hope to read more of them in the future! I really enjoyed the duel focus on Ariel and Eric and how much we learned about them! I thought the book was on the longer side and thought it could have been condensed a tad but overall I found the story and plot to be compelling to read! * I got this book for the publisher for my honest thoughts, I also give it 3.5 stars for my review* I really enjoyed this twisted tale. Fairy tale retelling of the end of Disney version of The Little Mermaid. This is a what-if Ursula/Vanessa story if Ursula triumphs over Triton, Ariel and Eric at the end of the original story. Several years have passed and Ursula/Vanessa is working her evil in Eric's kingdom. Can Ariel and friends eventually succeed over Ursula with their own scheming? I didn't really understand the whole "Prince Eric and his musical/opera ambitions" in this one. But it was interesting, as always in retellings, to see things from another point of view. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

I was so excited when I discovered the Twisted Tales, but after reading the Belle one and then this, I think I’m done with the series. They just seem to drag. I so appreciate the creativity of a “what if” alternate plot line to a classic tale, but these are weighed down too much. ( )
