He's done it again!! This is another stellar story from Mr. Mefford. As soon as you sit down and start to read you are racing off on an adventure that doesn't stop until the last page. The characters are like old friends now so you ache with them and are afraid for them. You are in awe of them and their strength and their intelligence. This is a wonderful series that just gets better and better and I can't for the life of me understand how Mr. Mefford continues to improve on something that has been great from the start. Kudos!!

I love this series, love Alex and love that she is teaming up with Ozzie in this mystery. (Ozzie is the main character in the Ozzie Novack series). Although part of a series, all of the books can technically be read alone without missing too much but I strongly suggest you read them in sequence.

This is a good mystery with edge of your seat action and suspense. The plot brings back memories of the Boston Marathon terror attack that occurred in 2013. “At Stake” sounds and visuals are right on. It opens with hysteria when in the crowd bombs went off and Alex’s partner is injured now in hospital clinging to life. Alex is Alex and she will not take orders to step down….

Of course she is all action but if you think you can figure out what is going to happen, well you would be back to square one in no time, so I am warning you Mr. Mefford throws lots of kinks in the mix to derail us. The plot is crafted to give us excitement and thrills to keep us turning the pages. I like Alex’s showdown with the most vicious villain, it gives us all the suspense imaginable. Mr. Mefford is a gifted storyteller, his imagination has no limits. This time, taking an actual event then spinning his web of intrigue and making an excellent story for us to be captivated with. He doesn’t fail…..of course to lure us even more the story ends in a cliff-hanger….Stay tuned…next “At Any Cost” ( )

She’s been growing baby psychopaths to unleash her fury upon the unsuspecting targets and the marathon is just the beginning. Alex and Ozzie need to work together to unfurl the mystery before it’s everlasting too late.
Moreover, Alex is doubting her relationship with the hunky Brad and Ozzie is trying to figure out when he and his daughter will be safe to go home.
Every minute is an edge-of-the-seat fantastic ride! There wasn’t a moment when I didn’t need to keep reading to piece this mystery together – I absolutely NEEDED to get to the end. The twists and turns in the plot are incredulous. This is my favorite in the Redemption Thriller Series thus far, and even though it is a part of a series, it is incredible as a standalone read as well.
John Mefford continues to show us that he is a skilled plot master and a serious mystery writer. He has plans for us, as readers, to go on a journey. I cannot wait to see where it leads to next! ( )

On again, Mefford has you hanging on your recliner while reading his new Alex Troutt thriller. I have no idea how he keeps writing hese mystery/thrillers that you can’t put down, but he did it again. You could read this as a stand alone but you will get so much more out of it by reading the entire series.

In this thriller, Alex Troutt is enjoying the Boston Marathon when three bombs went off. Looking for her family and friends she finds that her close FBI partner is hurt and heading to the hospital. She now will do everything to find out who did it. She and Ozzie (from another series) start to unravel the bombings and it turns into so much more. They go through murders, robbery, and more bombs to get to the bottom of the destruction. ( )
