This book is an easy read and the kids learn about clubs at their school, that they like to research, and how to write about the items they researched. However, the underlying reason why they discover this, is these kids are always in trouble, (their principle talks about them being in detention everyday) and their parents force them to stay after school. You get the feeling that the parents cannot deal with the children or their issues so they force the kids on the school. The adult characters are stereotyped to a point that I was uncomfortable reading parts of this book. ( )
