Rafe has been through hell and back. His way of escaping his torturers was to stay in wolf form. After all, the wolf is stronger, he has always been more wolf than man, and without his mate, what is the point? But as soon as he escapes and makes it back to Gil, the mate who thought he was dead, the hard work of trying to remember how to be human begins. They need to talk!
Gil may be a shifter, but he is just as comfortable as a man. He is ecstatic that his mate turns out not to be dead, but he wants the man back as well. There are some unresolved questions between them regarding the wolf versus man thing, and it was heartbreaking to see them struggle through their issues on top of trying to reacquaint themselves with each other.
If you’re interested in shifter stories where humans and shifters struggle to get along, if you want to see how two men deal with a much-wanted reunion and the problems in their relationship at the same time, and if you’re looking for a read that is filled with hope, then you will probably like this novella.
