The first is that it is written with a modern style that doesn't hinder any of the stories plots or message. In the final story of the collection, The Ugly Duckling, the author uses rhyme and popular children activities like being in school, dancing to tell the story of Ned's plight to be accepted. On page 184 the author writes, "First he ask some dancing Gees, "Please, can I join your team?" The geese say, "No, you'll spoil our show. But why not try upstream?"' The familiar themes help students to connect with the book. Another reason I liked this collection is that most of the stories help readers of all ages think about deeper issues. In Ned's case, he was looking for acceptance, but in the end just being himself was good enough. I think the main goal of these stories is to broaden student imagination as well as teach students small but invaluable lesson through these tales. ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
