This introduction to the arts uses music (an attached CD) and paintings in the book to guide the reader with both auditory and visual stimuli throughout. Musical tracks such as The Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saens is paired with visual masterpieces such as Ocean Life by Christian Schussele to give the reader a double dose of beautiful orchestrations and timely depictions of nature and history. The book starts with three pages towards the introduction of musical instruments (strings, percussion, brass, woodwinds).
